| Just a couple of things to report. Sensei Cowan has introduced a new initiative for student gradings. In future, once Sensei Cowan has assessed a student and confirmed that they are ready, they will be given an application form with the students name, date of the intended grading, class of grading and grading fee. This form must be completed by the student (or parent) and returned with the grading fee to Sensei Cowan no later than 1 week before the appointed grading. If a student fails to turn up for their appointed grading, their fee will not be returned. However, allowances for sickness special circumstances etc. will be considered - if unforseen circumstances prevent you from turning up then please let Sensei Cowan know. This new procedure will enable the club to organise and purchase trophies without the inconvenience of changing trophy 'names' because students fail to turn up. Those of us with children know how difficult it is for them to pass on information regarding appointments etc. - my children usually inform me the day before the appointment! This new system will ensure that parents of junior students are kept informed of when, and where, their child will be grading and the costs - well that's the theory anyway! |
| There's a junior, cadet and hopefully, adult, Sport Jujitsu competition in March - we'll keep you informed. |
