Belated New Year's Greeting To All!

Hopefully most of you will have managed to shake off that bloated xmas pudding feeling and got down to some serious training - if you haven't (Richard and Ginger are you reading this?) shame on you!

A few new rules laid down by sensei Cowan at his Dunstable and Hockwell Ring training venues.

No spectators, parents or casual observers during training sessions. You may have your own opinions on not being able to watch your children train, as a student parent of student children I can empathise. But the benefits have been surprising. Many children feel nervous performing in front of their parents or older siblings and have openly admited that they feel happier not being watched. If they're happier then they 're bound to work harder without the pressure - I know 'cos my own children have told me!

New License Book
Some of you will have recieved the clubs new license book, the rest of you will recieve yours over the following months.

Look after it. Not only does it record your gradings, and insurance certificate, it also lists some of the basic club rules. You need to read these rules carefully and then sign the personal declaration. Parents of children under 12 need to sign on behalf of their children

Sports Jujitsu

Sport Jujitsu training is back on after the xmas break with a vengence! Theirs a juniors and cadets competition in March - here's to more gold medals!
