Medal Tally Rises!

On Sunday 1st July four cadets and one adult competed in the latest Sport Jujitsu competition. Once again our fighters did the club proud gaining 3 silver, 2 bronze and one special medal award for most spirited fighter of the day!

All the fighters trained very hard over the last few weeks proving once again what can be acheived with hard work and endurance. Congratulations to all of them with a special mention for Steve Edwards.

Steve was competing in the adult division. It was his first taste of competition and he found himself up against GB Squad members. In true fighting spirit, he didn't give up, earned himself a bronze medal (I predicted he'd win a silver) and was judged to have been the most Spirited Fighter of the Day! Anyone who has been present while Steve has been training will not be surprised by the award.

Another prediction, a GB squad training call up....watch this space.

Sensei Cowan has been asked whether he'd like to hold a Sport Jujitsu event down in part of the country. This is indeed a great compliment to Sensei Cowan and his fighters. We'll keep you posted and don't forget that junior fighters now have a second venue for their Sport Jujitsu training :

Saturday's Dunstable Leisure Centre 6-00pm - 7.00pm.

Twenty fighters turned up for the first session and it looked to me as though there are even more potential medal winners waiting in the wings.
