Okay, I give you my old mobile phone and you get paid for it so exactly what do you do with the money? Holidays in the south of France? A new car?
I wish!
If you don't already know, several of our students have competed or adjudicated at international level as part of the GB, AMA Sport Jujitsu squad. Members of this squad compete on an amateur basis and therefore compete for medals and not prize money. They may receive a small amount of financial help from the AMA, but the bulk of their expenses are funded by themselves.
We as a jujitsu organisation plan to use the money raised by our foneaid venture to help fund the GB AMA squad and, in particular, any of our students picked to represent Great Britain. Surplus finances raised will be used by the IAJJ to purchase equipment and other sundries, then if there's any money left over a holiday in the south of France!
So, all students, parents of students and friends dig out those old mobile phones, remove the sim cards andclear the internal memories.
Please don't worry about their condition, chargers, boxes or instructions, if you have them great if not then it's not important when you're ready please hand them to Sensei David Brown.
Thank you for your help
